The Philippine Popular Music Festival is an annual songwriting competition open to all amateur and professional composers who are Filipinos or of Filipino descent residing in the Philippines. The competition is only open to original and previously unreleased songs in English, Filipino and other Philippine languages.

Philpop grand prize winner will receive 1 million pesos and a chance to have her/his own album. All 12 finalists will also see their songs featured in the Philpop 2014 album produced and distributed by Universal Records.
